- Course : material grouped around a common theme, 5 -10 hours of study
- Topic : component of a Course, made up of 2 – 3 lessons, 1 – 1.5 hours of study
- Lesson : single standalone teaching unit, presented as slide show with voice over, lasting 15 – 25 minutes
- Mini-Cases : short, illustrative examples from the real world, linked to a range of relevant lessons, 5 – 10 minutes
- Quiz : quick, multiple choice quiz after every lesson to check learning, with explanations for correct (and incorrect) answers
- Each Course is intended to be stand-alone
- Best to study each Lesson in the running order already set up in Topic
- Participants can however choose their own running order if they so wish
- Many Mini-Cases are relevant to a range of Lessons
- Lessons have Quizzes to check progress
- Personal learning logs (which are automatically set up) provide record of progress
